Incorporated in 1989, the range of services include:
- ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit or "Custom Chip") design
- Analogue electronics design
- RF design
Particular emphasis is on analogue design. This can use high speed integrated circuits, discrete devices (bipolar, JFET or GaAsFET) or ASICs for high performance, low cost designs for volume manufacture or one-off designs for bespoke applications. It could be for an improvement or cost reduction of an existing design or a completely new design. Low power, battery operated circuitry is a particular area of expertise, as is low noise signal processing and high speed design.
The analogue specialisation is backed up with the ability to design support circuitry with microcontrollers such as PIC or Cypress PSoC, write software in C or assembler and design CPLDs or FPGAs as required.
Key Design is well equipped to provide a fully working, tested prototype circuit for all development projects, including specification, SPICE simulation, schematic entry, PCB layout, testing and documentation, as well as the selection of a manufacturer for any production volume required.
Whether it is a new product development, or cost reduction or a performance improvement for a current product, Key Design is well placed to provide that for you, either using custom technology or not depending on your requirements and budget.
