Analogue Design

All aspects of analogue design using bipolar, JFET, HEMT, and GaAsFET transistors. IC based design, interfaces and power supplies for avalanche photodiode (APDs), RF PIN diodes and PIN photodiodes (UV, visible and infra-red). Design and testing of switching regulators, filters, signal processing, pulse shaping, pulse counting, charge amplifiers, transimpedance amplifiers, high speed peak detect circuits - in fact all areas of analogue design.

The analogue specialisation is backed up with the ability to design support circuitry with microcontrollers such as PIC or Cypress PSoC, write software in C or assembler and design CPLDs or FPGAs as required.

Extensive SPICE simulation and modelling experience with a variety of SPICE based simulators.
