Design of analog [analogue] and mixed signal custom chips with CMOS, bipolar, DMOS, BiCMOS and Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) technologies. Low voltage operation e.g. down to 1V, or operating at over 100V is possible. From initial design concepts through the specification, design, simulation, layout, fabrication, test specification generation, validation and chip testing.
The design could be a complete IC or just a cell, for example an ADC or LVDS driver - whatever is required.
Of particular interest may be the Zetex Semi-Custom bipolar arrays. They offer a low cost entry into custom ICs with a low NRE, low cost design and quick turn round of parts. The can be economic in small quantities. For more details click the Zetex logo on the left.
IP (Intellectual Property) development - development of cells for inclusion in other designs are required, whether for an analog IC or for inclusion in a digital IC.
IC Design (ASIC)
- CMOS down to 0.18um
- CMOS with high voltage options to 12V, 40V, 100V or more
- BiCMOS
- bipolar, low and high voltage
- Silicon on Insulator (SOI) with operation up to 225°C
- photodetectors on chip
- trimming by zener zapping or fusing.
Processes
Cell and circuit examples:
- Key Design works with many different ASIC processes and is not tied to any one foundry.
- NRE (non-recurring engineering charges) can be minimised by the use of multi-project wafers (MPW) or multi-level masks (MLM)
- Semi-custom bipolar Zetex 700 series offers a very low NRE entry into ASICs, particularly for low to medium volume applications
